AAP Punjab Bhagwant Mann providing incentive Moong. On July 3, Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann requested farmers of Punjab to sow moong, hence, approximately 1.25 lakh acres of moong have been sowed by the farmers of the state. 15 percent of the total moong has been purchased by Markfed Punjab. Whereas the central government is questioning the quality of moong.
AAP Punjab is providing incentives equal to MSP
CM Mann stated that Markfed is giving relaxation to the farmers whose moong is sold less than MSP. For instance, if someone’s moong is sold for 7000/- per quintal then 275 rupees will be given as an incentive. Furthermore, if any farmer sold his moong for 6500/- or 6000/- then also incentive will be given, as the government has all the records of purchase. This means an amount will be paid equal to MSP. CM Mann is giving incentives because farmers sowed moong at his behest.
