Bhagwant Mann asked support save Punjab water. On May 18, Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann stated he is following the preachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji for saving the water of the state. Gurbani says ”Pavan Guru Paani Pita Mata Dharat Mahatt” which means that air is the teacher, water is the father, and earth is the great mother of all. He requested the people of Punjab to support him at least for a year, as he is working in this direction.
Bhagwant Mann’s meeting with 23 farmer union leaders
Today Mann met 23 farmer union leaders for two hours. He said that he respects all the farmers as they are elder than him, additionally, he is also a son of a farmer. He never denied meeting them, however, using ”Murdabad” for him is meaningless.
Assurance to MSP
Mann asked people to plant green lentils. He gave assurance to farmers that his government will provide MSP on green lentils and basmati as well. His government will purchase all the produce whether farmers will bring moist green lentils to markets.
