Bhagwant Mann gives Rs 1500 direct paddy sowing Punjab. On April 30, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced to provide financial assistance to all the farmers who will do direct sowing of paddy crops. In an address to the people of Punjab, he stated that paddy sowing time is near, however, the water level of the state is also going down day by day. Many districts have come under come to Red Zone. So, the government of Punjab will provide Rupees 1500/- (per acre) to every farmer who will sow paddy crops by the direct method.
New ways suggested by the agriculture experts
CM Bhagwant Mann told that agriculture experts suggested ways to sow paddy crops. A farmer should sow paddy as wheat, which means a direct method of sowing so that a large amount of water can be saved. By switching to this way paddy production will be more, moreover, it will be vital for wheat also. The moisture of paddy will give a boost to wheat production.
Farmers can sow paddy from May 20
CM Mann told the people of Punjab to start sowing paddy crops from May 20 onwards. He appealed to farmers to switch to a direct method of sowing paddy crops.
