Chhatbir zoo visitors must vaccinate second dose. On January 6, Dainik Bhaskar reported that visitors have to vaccinate themself with the second dose of the COVID 19 vaccine. The person will be sent back from the gate of the zoo if they are entering without a mask. No one will be allowed to visit on the basis of the first dose. A lot of visitors were visiting the zoo for the past few days and due to the upsurging cases of coronavirus department issued the guidelines.
Entry in three shifts
Wildlife Department Punjab issued guidelines to curb the infection. So visitors are sent in three shifts, 18oo visitors are permitted to enter from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. From 11:30 am to 12 noon there is a break for sanitization. From 12 am to 2 pm 1800 people will enter the zoo, again there will be a half an hour break for sanitization of the zoo. From 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, 1800 visitors will enter the zoo.
Visitors will be fined
The wildlife department will fine the visitors up to Rupees 500 if they do not follow the guidelines. Entry ticket is only valid for two hours only, BOT vehicles will be given to a group or family members only, every visitor remains under CCTV surveillance, and entry tickets can either be booked online on chhatbirzoo.gov.in or through a QR code system on the booking counter.
