Delhi CM Kejriwal countering air pollution stubble burning. On October 4, Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal has come up with a plan to combat air pollution in Delhi. During his address, he said that everyone needs clear air so, for that, we do not have to blame each other but to work together. He requested the central government and neighboring states to join this plan. He told that air pollution is under control till now but it will start increasing in the upcoming months due to stubble burning. Delhi CM presented 10 points to combat air pollution.
Decomposer by PUSA University – No more stubble burning
CM Kejriwal told that with the help of PUSA University Delhi government has made a decomposer for stubble residue. Delhi government will spray this decomposer free of cost so that farmers do not need to burn stubble. He also requested neighboring states to ensure the free spraying of decomposers.
Strength to Anti-dust Campaign
Delhi government has made 75 teams to strengthen Antidust Campaign who will visit construction sites in Delhi and heavy penalty will be charged if dust is found.
Teams formed to keep an eye on garbage burning
250 teams will do patroling in Delhi and fine people whosoever indulge in garbage burning.
A complete ban on crackers
Delhi government has banned crackers completely. Nobody is allowed to sale and purchase crackers.
India’s first-ever smog tower in Delhi and more will be installed
Arvind Kejriwal discussed India’s first smog tower which was installed as a pilot project in Delhi. He said that it is working well and more smog towers will be installed in the forthcoming months.

Green War Rooms
50 new Paryavaran Engineers are recruited to strengthen Green War Rooms with the help of the University of Chicago.

CM Kejriwal asked everyone to download Green Delhi App and inform immediately if anybody sees burning garbage or smog.

Eco-waste park being built in 20 acres to control e-waste pollution.
To control vehicular pollution
64 roads have been identified in Delhi which has heavy jam, so steps will be taken to control it, which will lead to less vehicular pollution.
500 teams have been appointed to strictly investigate Pollution Under Certificates (PUC).
10 years old petrol and 15 years old diesel vehicles will be scrapped.
CM asked to convert all vehicles in CNG who are coming to Delhi NCR. All industries must use PNG fuel. He also asked neighboring states to convert fuel or completely shut their thermal plants and brick kilns. The plan for this “Jan Abhiyan” will be introduced in the coming days.
