Delhi govt deregistering vehicles January 1. December 16, the Delhi government will register all the diesel vehicles which will complete 10 years on January 1, 2022. The Delhi government will issue a no-objection certificate (NOC). The government issued these orders in compliance with the National Green Tribunal, it issued directions related to registration on vehicles.
Owners of vehicles can also have the option to convert their 10 years old diesel and 15 years old petrol vehicles into electric ones. However, they will need to be retrofitted with impaneled electric kits via agencies approved by the department.
NOC will be issued for all the diesel vehicles which have completed 10 years, and petrol vehicles that are 15 years old for any place across the country. As per the orders issued, no NOC will be issued for the places by states, which are identified as restricted areas for re-registration.
