Delhi Teachers University inaugurated Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. On March 4, Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia inaugurated Delhi Teachers University. He told that Arvind Kejriwal’s government aims to inspire today’s students to become tomorrow’s teachers. This university will offer a new-age integrated teacher education program such as BA-BED and BSC-BED after class 12. It will emphasize fundamental and applied research in education by collaborating with national and international organizations. The campus is situated in Outram Lane in the Mukherjee Nagar area of the national capital. Deputy CM added that a teacher touches all 360-degree aspects of our life. That is why it was convenient to establish IITs, IIMs, AIIMS but we could not establish a top-level teachers’ university till date.
He told that Arvind Kejriwal’s government aims to inspire today’s students to become tomorrow’s teachers. In the month of January, the Delhi Assembly passed a bill for setting up a top-class teachers’ university. Students of the university will collaborate with the Delhi government schools for the duration of their courses and get hands-on experience with a focus on research.
