India lifted restrictions domestic flights
India lifted restrictions domestic flights. On October 12, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation endorsed an official notification that domestic flights can operate with full capacity from October 18, 2021, as passengers were demanding air travel. Domestic airlines have been operating with 85 percent capacity since September 18 and from the month of September number of domestic air passengers has seen an upsurge.
Due to the vaccination drive, decreasing COVID 19 cases and for the revival of the economy, the government eased restrictions. However, the ministry said that COVID protocols must be followed during travel.
COVID guidelines must be followed
Though the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation permitted domestic flights with full capacity of passengers, airlines operators are asked to ensure COVID guidelines to curb the pandemic during travel. No meals will be served on less than two hours of journey.
