Govt of France started judicial investigation Rafale deal. The government of France has started a judicial investigation of the Rafale deal which is demanded by Sherpa NGO. India bought 36 Rafale fighter jets from France, which is a corrupted deal. In 2018 Sherpa reported for investigation but was buried by Public Prosecution Services Financial Crime Branch ( PNF ). In its counterpart, Dassault Reliance Aerospace said that anti-bribery convention and French national laws were followed in the Indian contract, and the acquisition of 36 Rafales is based on the government to government basis.

A judicial investigation is started on June 14. Allegations of corruption, favoritism, tax evasion, and money laundering will be investigated.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that if allegations proved will PM Modi allow for Joint Parliamentary Committee ( JPC ) for investigation. On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said deal congress’ politics on this is wrong.
