High risk COVID patients needed tests not interstate travel. On January 10, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that COVID patients do not need testing unless identified as high risk based on age or comorbidities (ANI reported). Individuals who are undertaking inter-state domestic travel do not need to get tested said ICMR Advisory on Purposive Testing Strategy for COVID 19. Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and the molecular test is to be considered validatory, without any repeat testing, advisory told.
Testing can be taken up through RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, Rapid Molecular Testing Systems, TrueNat, CRISPR, CBNAAT, and Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
