India constructing 2000 km highway worth 40000 crore counter China. To monitor China’s activities along the Mcmahon line, the Indian government will build a frontier highway worth 40,000 crores. Approximately 2000 kilometers long highway will become a permanent ground position line of India in front of China. The frontier highway will be constructed by the Border Road Organisation (BRO) and the National Highways Authority of India. Additionally, the army will provide logistic support.
Frontier highway would pass through Tawang, East Kameng, West Siang, Desali, Dong, and Hawai, and will reach Myanmar.
Benefits of Frontier highway
Arunachal Pradesh already has two national highways- Trans Arunachal Highway and East-West Industrial Corridor. After the frontier highway, all the state corridors will be connected with each other. The construction of vibrant villages around the highway will help to monitor the Ghost Villages of China. India will organize a few G-20 meetings in North East areas to increase tourism. During the inauguration of the International Tourism Mart 2022 Aizawl (Mizoram), G Kishan Reddy stated that 100 viewpoints will be made on the sides of the highways.
Road connectivity will be assured.
Not only the Chinese border but also the Myanmar border will be secured.
Migration from border areas will be stopped.
