Indian embassy Ukraine temporarily moving Poland
Indian embassy Ukraine temporarily moving Poland. On March 13, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that India has decided to temporarily transfer its embassy in Ukraine to Poland. The decision to transfer the embassy was being taken in view of the speedily deteriorating security conditions in Ukraine, including the Russian military’s attacks in the western part of the country. It added that the situation will be re-evaluated in light of further developments.
Indian embassy was already working from its camp office
Important officials in the Indian Embassy are already working from its camp office in Lviv (a city in western Ukraine) for the past few days. Lviv is 70 km away from the border with Poland. read more
As per the Indian government source, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to talk directly with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky Reuters reported.
