Non subsidized LPG price hiked Rs 25 per cylinder. Non subsidized LPG price has been hiked by Rupees 25 per cylinder from August 17. LPG prices are fixed by crude prices in international markets. On July 1st, oil companies hiked prices of LPG cylinders by Rupees 25.50 whereas on August 1st prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders increased but domestic cooking gas prices remained unchanged. The central government provides 12 subsidized LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg to a household and the amount of subsidy amount keeps on changing. From now on 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will cost 859.50 in Delhi, Rs. 886 in Kolkata, Rs. 859.50 in Mumbai, and Rs. 875.50 in Chennai. Prices of LPG cylinders vary from state to state due to local taxes.
