All India Quota scheme OBC 27 percent EWC 10 percent reservation. OBC 27 percent EWC will get a 10 percent reservation in All India Quota scheme. The Government of India announced 27 percent for Other Weaker Sections and a ten percent quota scheme for Economically Weaker Sections. All India Quota scheme will be implemented from the current academic year. Undergraduates and postgraduate medical courses, including, dental will be benefitted under this scheme. 1500 OBC students in MBBS and 2500 OBC students in postgraduation will get a reservation every year. 550 students from Other Weaker Sections in MBBS and 1000 students in postgraduation will likewise get a reservation. Government authorities said that govt in power is committed to providing a reservation both to the backward category as well as the EWS category. OBC students are now able to take advantage of this plan for seats in any state ( across India). Being a central scheme, the Central List of OBCs shall be used for a reservation. PM Modi tweeted that this is a ‘ Landmark Decision ‘ as this scheme will help youth every year to get better opportunities and will create a new paradigm of social justice in our country.
