Rahul Gandhi submitted the list of martyred farmers in Lok Sabha. On December 7, Rahul Gandhi has submitted the list of farmers who had lost their lives during the farmers’ protest. Modi government has withdrawn the Three Farm Laws 2020. However, farmers are still protesting in Delhi because their demands are pending. Farmers are demanding compensation for farmers who had lost their lives but Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that government does not have any record of the farmers who died during the agitation, hence there is no question of compensation.
So, Rahul Gandhi said that almost 700 farmers were martyred. Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted his mistake for making anti-agriculture laws. He told that the Punjab government compensated 403 families by giving Rupees 5 lakh each and also provided jobs to 152 people.
In a post on Instagram Rahul Gandhi said that PM Modi only has the number of their industrialist friends, We have the names and contact numbers of martyred farmers. He wrote that PM Modi should call the martyred farmers’ families, apologize and give compensation. Without making a mistake the Punjab government compensated them for the sake of humanity.
