Red Fort remain closed Republic Day Delhi police informed. On January 19, Delhi Police informed on Twitter that Red Fort shall remain closed from January 22 to January 26, 2022, for public and general visitors. It will remain closed for general visitors and the public for security reasons. Delhi Police told that for the Republic Day Celebrations there is a three-layered security system and force takes anti-terror measures for any event of national importance.
Republic Day Celebrations will begin from Jan 23
Republic Day Celebrations will begin on January 23 instead of Jan 24 from this year to include the birth anniversary of Subash Chandra Bose.
No foreign chief guest
India invited leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. However, no formal announcement was made by any of the countries because of the spread of Omicron.
