Sohna Mohna Singh got two separate Voter ID Punjabi conjoined twins
On January 25, conjoined twins Sohna Singh and Mohna Singh known as Sohna-Mohna were handed over two separate voter ID cards. They were born in June 2003 and working in Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). On the 12th National Voters Day Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Punjab, Dr. S Karuna Raju handed over two separate Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) to both of them. The theme of National Voters Day is ” Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative.”
Special arrangements will be made to maintain privacy
The Election Commission of India gave individual voting rights because it considered them separate voters. Dr. said that special arrangements will be made for Sohna Mohna so that they can vote separately and their privacy could be maintained. A curtain will be there between both of them at the time of casting the vote.
Punjab Assembly Election 2022 rescheduled
Punjab Assembly Election 2022 will begin on February 20, 2022, instead of February 14, and ends up on March 10.
