USA denied involvement Pakistani regime topple Imran Khan alleged. On April 10, The Dawn reported that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan alleged the US State Department for its involvement in overthrowing his government as he has been following an independent foreign policy, which annoyed the foreign powers. He alleged that it is the United States who had encouraged the no-confidence vote. However, Deputy State Department Spokesperson Jalina Porter denied all these allegations.
No truth to allegations by PM Imran Khan
During a meeting with the Pakistani ambassador Asad Majeed Khan, Imran Khan named the US official Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs in the Department of State – who posed threat to the Pakistani regime change. The US Deputy State Department Spokesperson Jalina Porter denied the allegations furthermore, she claimed that of course, they respect and support the constitution of Pakistan, however, there is no truth to these allegations.
Besides that, Washington-based news website reported that there is already a public mistrust towards the United States, now these allegations has deepen it further which have hurt US-Pakistan relations.
