Young children taught drawbacks food wastage primary education. The United Nations Environment Program shared a report in 2021 that every Indian waste 50 kg of food every year. To curb the wastage of food the central government has decided to add a chapter to the syllabus for young students. Through this, they will be taught the importance of food left on a plate. Additionally, directions have been issued to all the states regarding the issue. All the state governments are asked to include a chapter in textbooks for students to make them aware of the wastage of food.
